Timothy M. Hillenbrand of Citrus Heights, California was sentenced to two years of prison after being caught with $25.000 in cocaine, ecstasy and marihuana, drugs he was planning to sell at the Nevada casino he was staying at. The District Judge, Michael Gibbons, showed compassion towards the man -whose parents and foster parents assisted the trial- because he sentenced him to only two years. Hillenbrand had a clean record before being captured.
Authorities searched Hillenbrand's hotel room, with a search warrant, and found the drugs. The man expressed his remorse and his lawyer pointed out the fact that his client had a good way of life before this incident, the lawyer also said his client's immaturity and unpopularity were to blame. Since he was arrested in may, Hillenbrand has read the bible and joined the 12 steps program.
