A woman from Stewarton, who asked to remain anonymous, hit the jackpot at Gala Club in Kilmarnock and won £51,690. She was the lucky winner of the national prize of £50,000, plus a regional prize of £1590 and the club prize of £100.

The winner is 48 years old and a health care worker. She has three children and said that she became a member of the Portland Street club six years ago. She usually plays twice a month.

When asked about how she was going to spend her winnings, she said she didn’t know yet but she would probably buy presents for her children. Her previous biggest win was only £100.
